The Vision of 2nd Acts

Our vision is very clear, we play parts to change hearts. With every drama and human video we do, our desire is to draw lives closer to God. We use humor and serious skits, contemporary music and creative ideas to reach audiences of all ages. We exist to win an audience! Win a generation!! Win a city!!!

Drama Happenings

Living Reflections in a Reel World

Our new season will start September 16th @ 6:30. It will feature new dramas and human videos, a lot more traveling, a new format and we will meet on Friday nights. Of course we will still use everything and everyone who was part of 2nd Acts this past year. Everyone is invited to be a part of our drama family and to make a difference in our world. This coming year will be open to 6th grade and above. There will be several levels of commitment for adults who would like to use their giftings in drama. So don't miss this opportunity to serve in 2nd Acts. Everyone is welcomed whether you have experience or not. Come with a willing and expectant heart and we will train you. Our theme this year is being Living Reflections in a Reel World. Unfortunately, the real world is a "reel" world... everyone puts on a smile and a mask as they go through life, hoping what they feel on the inside will go away or get better. We try to be someone we are not to get accepted or feel better about ourself and our situation but the pain doesn't go away. Our hope is not in what we look like or who we are. The only hope is to be a Living Reflection of Jesus Christ to the world around us. When we embrace this and pursue it, God will not only use us to change those around us, he will change us as well. We are looking forward to a new season to be used by Him.

More than what you see

2nd Acts drama is more than what you see on stage. We believe your private life is key to success in public ministry. Because of this belief, our practices blend, discipleship, accountability and worship along with hard work to help each of our members develop a deeper passion for God and compassion for the lost. Our practices are not only safe but full of encouragement which is aimed to grow each drama student into the leader God desires them to become.

A word from 2nd Acts members

"Drama is a safe place where we can chill. We learn lots of human videos and we have fun while we do it. Our drama team is a family." ---Alicia---

"Drama to me is a place where you know you're safe. It's a place you don't only perform but you get to help lead people to God. While at the same time we become closer to God." ---Corrina---

"Before I joined 2nd Acts I didn't have a place in which I felt I fit. I have found like-minded people through my involvement with the drama team and I finally feel that I belong." ---Holly---

"For me, 2nd Acts is more than a social group to have fun in. It's a family, an accountability group, a stepping stone I needed in order to grow personally in my prayer life. It has brought me to a place I never thought I would be and gave me people I can talk to about anything." ---Dillon---

"Drama has given me confidence to be the son of God he has created me to be." ---Paul---

"Drama is amazing! I love how we are all a family. Just knowing the drama team is always here for me, has changed my life this past year. P.S. I love the muffins Tina bakes fo us!" ---Rainey---

"Drama is like a family; full of trust, support and a whole lot of love. It is a place for you to be yourself and grow in the Lord. It has made a huge difference in my life." ---Whit-Lee---

"Drama is flamazing! When I first started I was a little nervous. I was accepted by everyone and did not feel left out. I feel blessed to do drama and to be able to reach out to people through drama." ---Tyler---

"Drama is the place to be... It is a safe place and I have never felt more comfortable with other people. I have gotten to know all the people so well, they are like my family." ---Jasmine---
