About Ministries Kidz Ministry Discipline Policy

Kidz Ministry

Discipline Policy

Children are a blessing sent from God. We believe it is our responsibility to mold, shape and direct their lives to be healthy, productive members of the kingdom of God in our society.

Living Faith Church will partner with those parents who entrust us with the care and training of their children.

Expectations

Your child will be expected to be respectful of others in the classroom. They should respect the other person with their actions and words, whether child or adult.

Your child will be expected to be kind, polite, and cooperative with the adults and other students.

Your child will be expected to listen and interact during lesson times. There will be times of quiet listening and times of active participation.

Positive Correction

Children are smaller human beings with a need to feel loved and respected. When correction is needed, we will use a positive approach in our speech and action by telling the child what we wish for them to do.

We will speak gently but firmly when correction is needed. If a child does not respond by redirecting negative behavior, the child will be asked to sit apart or with another adult for a short span of time to help him gain control. If a child becomes out of control to the point of becoming a threat, either to himself or others in the group, the parents will be alerted to deal with the situation. At no time will our staff use any form of corporal punishment such as hitting, pinching, shaking or spanking to correct your child.
